HMI Panasonic with Master & Slave Modbus RTU
For our tests in this case we have on hand 2 screens HMI GT01 Panansonic touch screen, configuration software, GTWIN its communication protocol is Mewtocol regarding the download of programming strategy and communication with other industrial equipment of panasonic, also has the Modbus protocol RTU both master and slave, this screen has 2 Serial Port one for programming (tool port) and another for communication and protocols in General, to know more about the … GT01 Panasonic.
Tests carried out
Similar to the 2 tests previously performed with the Panasonic PLC, we will configure the GT01 first as a slave and then as master we will validate the communication with a simulator connected via RS232 / usb.
HMI Panasonic Slave Modbus RTU RS232
To configure the HMI as Slave the following is required:
- Configure the serial communication port to modbus protocol.
- Address GT records and modbus registers.
- Design the screens, in this case the display fields.
HMI Panasonic Maestro Modbus RTU RS232
The configuration between master and slave is similar only must take into account the selection of slave and master:
- Configure the serial communication port to modbus protocol.
- Address GT records and modbus registers.
- Design the screens, in this case the display fields.
Conclusions
It is a screen of very good quality, we exalt its easy programming its practicality and its functionality since it contains a large number of communication protocols with other PLC controllers.
